EXCLUSIVE: RUE MORGUE UNVEILS THE TRAILER FOR “TICK”

With this year’s Fantasia Film Festival programming announced yesterday, there’s plenty to look forward to for the 2018 lineup. Among them is Ashlea Wessel’s highly anticipated short film, TiCK, edited and co-produced by Kevin Burke (24×36: A Movie About Movie Posters).

“I’m insanely excited that we’re going to get to premiere the film at Fantasia,” says Burke. “From the time I first read Ashlea’s script I always imagined it as the perfect premiere festival for it. It’s been an amazing experience to be able to work on the film with such a talented writer/director and I can’t wait to unleash it on audiences in July.” Adds Wessel: “TiCK was truly a passion project for me and I was so lucky to have gotten Kevin and the rest of our amazing crew on board. Everyone really worked their asses off and brought the full scope of their talents to the project. It was ambitious to say the least but I think we were able to pull off something awesome!”

Synopsis: In a post-pandemic society, a vampire in hiding is forced to make a stand when confronted with the oppressive regime who kidnapped and enslaved her family.
