Dima Barch’s “THE POWER OF THE STRIKE” Streams on Screambox Today

As of today, the extreme horror short “The Power of The Strike” is available for all to stream on Screambox, as a part of Bloody Disgusting’s BLOODY BITES series. Described as ‘one fucked up night at the bowling alley,’ in “TPOTS,” old and new traumas collide for a young man put through a horrific trial for his captors’ entertainment. RUE MORGUE called the short, “a high-tension thrill ride,” “a violent revenge tale” and praised “Barch’s defiant philosophy as a filmmaker.” Fresh from screening the film at Beyond Fest, Russian writer/director Dima Barch is thrilled to finally share his film with a larger audience.

“The Power of The Strike” is “dark and sexy and suuuuper queer. Think KNIFE PLUS HEART meets Araki doing a SAW movie,” wrote Barch’s mentor, Carter Smith (Swallowed, The Passenger), in his weekly All The Dead Boys newsletter. The film was also recently nominated for Best Editing, Best Sound and Most Diabolical Film at Vancouver Horror Show, as well as for Méliès d’argent and Best European short film at the Imagine Fantastic Film Festival.

Don’t miss THE POWER OF THE STRIKE, included in Bloody Bites Season 11 (Episode 6) available to stream on Screambox today.
