AstralShift’s mystery horror RPG Pocket Mirror: GoldenerTraum has left its PC only existence behind, launching this week on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. The console versions arrived through publisher KOMODO, bringing the surreal, puzzle filled adventure to a wider audience of console bound horror fans just in time for the Halloween season.
The game follows a young woman with a clouded past who wakes inside a crumbling, dreamlike mansion clutching nothing but a hand mirror. Players guide her through twisted rooms, solve environmental puzzles, and talk with the mansion’s uneasy inhabitants to piece together her fractured memories and the truth of what is hunting her. Multiple paths and endings reward replay, and the game leans hard into an atmosphere of decayed opulence, somewhere between a gothic fairy tale and fever dream.
Pocket Mirror: GoldenerTraum is a direct successor to the original Pocket Mirror, a cult favourite among fans of handmade, RPG Maker style horror. GoldenerTraum expands the format with new environments and fuller production, while keeping the series’ unnerving, hand painted visual style intact.
The Nintendo eShop lists the Switch edition at $15.99 USD; pricing on PlayStation and Steam is reported close to that figure, though exact regional pricing may vary and has not been confirmed on every storefront. Horror fans can pick up the Nintendo Switch edition directly through the Nintendo eShop, while the original PC release remains available on Steam, which also offers a free demo for the curious and faint of heart.
