It’s described as “TUCKER AND DALE meets PUMPKINHEAD.”
UNCLE FRED’S MONSTER PROBLEM is the latest feature from Slasher 15 Productions, the folks behind the BLOODY SUMMER CAMP movies and others. Written and directed by Dave Kerr, it stars Brendan Lynch, Aaron T. Jackson, Angelina Paquin, Brian Bremer (PUMPKINHEAD, SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT 5), Felissa Rose and the late Jim Krut (DAWN OF THE DEAD’s helicopter zombie) in his final role, with a creature suit created by Wayne Anderson (STRANGER THINGS, THE PREDATOR). The synopsis: “Set in rural Virginia, the story follows Adam, who, along with his friends, is staying in his late uncle’s camper for the weekend when they become hunted by a 7-foot creature. With nowhere to go and no way to call for help, they must find a way to survive the monster if they don’t kill each other first.”
“We wanted to lean heavily into our comedic roots for this film and make a horror film that’s also like a buddy comedy,” Kerr says. “We love horror films and we’ve done straight-up horror before, but we’re surrounded by so much comedy on set that we do better when we embrace it rather than trying to restrain it.”
