The Greek legend lives again in the modern day, and it’s deadly.
Currently in postproduction, ISLAND OF THE MINOTAUR is an Irish-Italian co-production from Amazing Films and Skincrawl Studios. Directed by Loris Curci, it was filmed on location in Keros, Greece and Turin, Italy and stars Leon Cain, Lydia Helen, Annishia Camilla Lunette, Jofre Belles and Max Luck. The synopsis: “Somewhere in the Aegean Sea lies an island that has been forbidden for generations. Keros was once a sacred sanctuary of the ancient Cycladic world—a place where strange rituals were performed and relics were deliberately destroyed. Now, obsessed archaeologist Malcolm Greaves has found a way in. He brings his daughter Emily, young historian Daniel, filmmaker Olivia, and a hardened mercenary named Jack to uncover what history has tried to bury. But beneath the island they discover something no archaeologist was ever meant to find: a vast, living labyrinth built around an ancient gateway. And something is still guarding it. As the tunnels shift, the exits disappear and a mythical creature begins hunting them through the darkness, Malcolm finally reveals the truth. The labyrinth isn’t a sanctuary. It’s a prison. And the ancient Greeks weren’t protecting the world from something inside Keros. They were protecting the world from what lies beyond it.”
