“IT” & “DOCTOR SLEEP” stars and others are part of “IT ENDS” director’s next film

The livestream-horror film recently wrapped up principal photography.

Neon has announced the cast of 4 X 4: THE EVENT, the new genre feature by writer/director Alex Ullom, whose acclaimed IT ENDS hits theaters this Friday. (See our review here.) The ensemble includes Sophia Lillis (pictured) from the IT duo, Dylan Minnette, Marcel Ruiz, Quintessa Swindell (TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA), Maddie Phillips, Mitchell Cole, Jaden Smith and Jacob Tremblay (DOCTOR SLEEP). The synopsis: “4 X 4: THE EVENT follows eight contestants as they enter an illegal sensory-assault livestream where they must kill or be killed using only what they can order online.” 4 X 4: THE EVENT, which Neon will release next year, has some horror heavy hitters among its producing team, which consists of Roy Lee and Steven Schneider for Spooky Pictures, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath for Divide/Conquer, Osgood Perkins and Chris Ferguson for Phobos, Haley Johnson for Under the Shell and Evan Barber for Barbershop.
