Exclusive news/art: Robert Englund and Heather Langenkamp speak for “NEVER SLEEP AGAIN” audiobook

The NIGHTMARE co-stars have reunited for new Elm Street reminiscences.

We got the exclusive word (with cover art) that Encyclopocalypse Publications is releasing an audiobook of Thommy Hutson’s NEVER SLEEP AGAIN: THE ELM STREET LEGACY this month. The publisher told us that this will be “a fully produced audiobook experience, packed with over 14 hours of definitive behind-the-scenes content on the making of Wes Craven’s original A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Narrated by Jonny Unitas–a cast member of the hit audio drama THE LAST WARDENS–this immersive edition digs deeper than ever into the blood, sweat, and surreal dreams that gave birth to Freddy Krueger and one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time. With dozens of in-depth interviews from cast and crew, rare production stories, and never-before-heard details, NEVER SLEEP AGAIN is the definitive oral history of the film that reshaped horror. For fans who think they know everything about the dream demon…you must be dreaming.”

As a bonus, Encyclopocalypse has brought on board the two leads of NIGHTMARE for a pair of exclusive new additions: “An Afterword written and narrated by Heather Langenkamp, the beloved star of the franchise, and an original chapter titled ‘The Gifts of Elm Street’ written and performed by Freddy Krueger himself–Robert Englund. These personal contributions reflect on the lasting impact of ELM STREET, offering rare insight into its cultural legacy and emotional resonance.”

Keep your eye on the Encyclopocalypse website for the official announcement of the audiobook’s release.
