“WATCH THE PRETTY GIRLS SUFFER” web series goes on-line; exclusive first chapter here

For those seeking a bit of anti-romanticism this Valentine’s Day, the dark side of dating rituals is explored in the web series WATCH THE PRETTY GIRLS SUFFER. It’s going live today, but we’ve got the exclusive look at the first episode!

Directed by Vito Trabucco (BLOODY BLOODY BIBLE CAMP) and Deborah Venegas, WATCH THE PRETTY GIRLS SUFFER can be viewed this afternoon at its YouTube page. The series stars Daniel Schweiger (from Don Coscarelli’s BUBBA HO-TEP and PHANTASM: RAVAGER) as misogynistic psychopath Allen Gunther, and Sarah Nicklin (THE HAUNTING OF ALICE D, EXHUMED, THE DISCO EXORCIST) as a psychologist specializing in serial killers who doesn’t realize at first that she’s facing one when she accepts a date request from Allen. “It’s brutal, crude, sometimes funny and takes an analytical and humane look at someone who could be easily written off as a monster,” Nicklin says. “I really enjoyed playing a woman who is very intelligent and compassionate, and finds ways to understand the mind of our killer like no one else does.”

Adds Schweiger, “There’s a vulnerability to her role that makes you wonder if a character who loves killing can bring himself to murder someone he thinks is like-minded, albeit in a far more ‘civilized’ way, which is the suspense that drives the webisodes.” You can see WATCH’s Facebook page here.
