While the rest of the toy world marches along with an army of fiends from A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Halloween, classic toy brand Mego is filling the pegs at the big bix stores with Hammer Horror creeps, oddball classic movie monsters and iconic movie characters we’ve just never gotten in plastic form before, like Willy Wonka, Teen Wolf and Young Frankenstein! It’s an impressive lineup, and horror fans have been watching – and throwing money. Now, Mego gives us two more toy fiends for our shelves from hell with Alice Cooper and Nathan Grantham (the I Want My CAKE!! guy) from Creepshow!
Creepshow – Nathan Grantham
“You’re all a bunch of dirty vultures …” Horror fans will most definitely want to get their hands on the all-new 8” Mego action figure of Nate from the “Father’s Day” segment of George A. Romero’s 1982 anthology film Creepshow.
“Where’s my cake? I want my cake!” Looking like he just crawled out of his grave, Nate comes with a textured paint job to recreate his iconic on-screen look. Talk about an ultra-creepy accessory! Bedelia’s head has been masterfully recreated, adorned with birthday candles atop a serving platter!

MANGLORS Return!
For decades, the legends of their horrors have persisted. The eggs, hidden in the depths of Fossil Point, have existed in a state of hibernation. Now, after 40 years of silence, the volcano of Manglor Mountain has erupted again – and the Manglors are back!
In 1983, the Ideal Toy Company introduced the “sticky-icky creatures from another dimension,” the Action Aliens known as the Manglors. Comprised of both ferocious warriors and incredible creatures, these beings “made of the strangest stuff on earth” (Sorbothane) were stretchy, sticky, clay-like monstrosities. The incredible box art by the late, great Ken Kelly promised the ultimate warriors of terror, but a perplexing marketing decision prompting kids to tear them apart doomed the line. Not even the addition of the amazing Prehi-Storage Eggs in 1984 could save the Manglors from tumbling into the toyboxes of obscurity.
In 2013, Toyfinity officially acquired the rights to the Manglors. Developed for ten years and redesigned by the combined minds of Matt Doughty and Erwin Papa, the new Manglord stands tall at 4.25 inches of power! The reimagined Manglors utilize the Glyos System of joint technology, allowing them to finally fulfill their original “tear ’em apart, stick ’em back together again” promise. Additionally, you can mix Manglors parts with any other Glyos-compatible toy line to create your own custom monstrosities.
The initial release of the new Manglors was on January 29, 2023, with the standard classic colors. Manglord sold out in less than two hours. Now, due to popular demand, the standard Manglord is back!
