Juliet Landau’s “A Place Among The Dead” Releasing This November

Juliet Landau (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ed WoodToolbox Murders) makes her feature directorial debut next month with A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD.

Melding fact, fiction, and the fantastical, A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD is an exploration of the cultural obsession with vampires and what they reveal about the human psyche. Landau plays an alter-ego version of herself, as do the following actors who have what she likes to call “cameos on steroids” because they are much larger than traditional cameos: Gary Oldman, Ron Perlman, Robert Patrick, Lance Henriksen, Joss Whedon (Landau’s boss from Buffy) and author Anne Rice, appearing for the first time in a film. The film delves into true crime and the reality of what happens when people take the fantasy of vampirism too far.

A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD is distributed via Modern Films – a London-based, female-led film production, distribution and event cinema company. Modern Films is hosting special online screening events in the lead up to Halloween (details here) and will release A PLACE AMONG THE DEAD worldwide on November 9th.
