The prequel takes us back to the earlier days of Stephen King’s creation.

Paramount+ has announced that it will premiere PET SEMATARY: BLOODLINES Friday, October 6 exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil, and Saturday, October 7 in all other Paramount+ international markets. It will be part of the Paramount+ Peak Screaming collection featuring fan-favorite horror movies and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved series. Directed by Lindsey Anderson Beer from a script by Beer and the previous SEMATARY’s Jeff Buhler, it stars Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Isabella Star LaBlanc, Natalie Alyn Lind, Jack Mulhern, THE X FILES’ David Duchovny, King screen veterans Henry Thomas (DOCTOR SLEEP) and Samantha Mathis (SALEM’S LOT 2004, UNDER THE DOME), and the legendary Pam Grier. The synopsis: “In 1969, a young Jud Crandall [White] has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”
