Exclusive trailer: “BLOOD MAGICK” is cast next month

The witch is the hero, albeit a reluctant one, in the new fright feature.

Freestyle Digital Media will release BLOOD MAGICK on North American digital HD internet, DVD, cable, and satellite platforms August 11. Written and directed by Micah Delhauer, who produced with James Delhauer, it stars Frances Parsons, Victoria de Mare, Laura Delhauer, Alen Kolenovic, Natalie Beisner, Joe Salling and Michael Minto. The synopsis: “BLOOD MAGICK follows a beer-guzzling, foul-mouthed witch named Aisling [Parsons]. She’s just awakened with a killer headache; five wide-eyed strangers are staring at her; and worse, something that doesn’t sound human is pounding at the door. The party has sought refuge in a giant costume warehouse, where every door and window is a possible entry point for the monstrosities outside. A malevolent force begins bringing the costumes to homicidal life, turning the sanctuary into a trap. Slipping begrudgingly into the role of hero, Aisling uses her magical prowess to protect her companions (despite not liking them very much). However, Aisling comes to suspect that someone in the party is actually the mastermind behind the demonic siege. What started as a straightforward night of survival becomes a supernatural whodunit. Suspicion gives way to paranoia, leading to infighting among the would-be survivors. Pushed to her absolute limits, Aisling must unmask the true enemy and destroy them before she and the others are torn to pieces.”

“BLOOD MAGICK is meant, first and foremost, to be fun,” says Micah Delhauer. “It’s dark, it’s edgy, it’s scary, it’s funny. It’s got awesome practical monsters and a kick-ass heroine—one we think people will really take to heart. This movie is the product of two brothers, and their very dedicated cast and crew, who just wanted to give you a good time.”
