The new film from the creators of 6:45 just finished postproduction.
Director Craig Singer, whose credits also include DARK RIDE and PERKINS’ 14, has completed his latest psychological chiller THE BLOCK. Written by Robert Dean Klein, it stars Tony Award winner Jack Falahee, Saphira Moran, Thomas G. Waites (THE THING), Jackie Earle Haley (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake), Catherine Cocoran (TERRIFIER), Chris Noth, Carrie Jo Crosby, Armen Garo, Michael Rodrick and Elias Koteas (THE PROPHECY). The synopsis: “What begins with a successful horror writer, Mitch James [Falahee], at the top of his career, quickly devolves into a murderous case of writer’s block, and a fan-turned-girlfriend’s [Moran as Natalie] obsession that becomes deadly.”
“I’ve been developing THE BLOCK for many years,” Singer says. “The original idea—what an artist is compelled to go through to secure their art and legacy—has always intrigued me, and feels even more urgent in 2026. Today’s rapidly evolving, AI-driven creative landscape forces creators at every level to make artistic choices and face challenges on a scale we’ve never seen. The timing couldn’t be more relevant. THE BLOCK isn’t about jump scares; it’s a philosophic fable for our times.” A premiere date has yet to be announced.
