She’s adding a new project to her recent string of genre features.
Filmmaker Byron C. Miller (who gave us the first look at his “Better in Black” music video last week) shared the word that Hannah Fierman has taken the female lead in his forthcoming feature BEWARE THE MOON. No relation to the AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON documentary of the same title, the film was scripted by Paul Morgan, who also co-wrote Miller’s previous movie THE ANATOMY OF MONSTERS, from a story by the duo. Conner Marx (NEW AMSTERDAM) will also star, with Ryan Purcell (THE STAIRS) serving as cinematographer.
“BEWARE THE MOON is a neon-soaked, erotic nightmare about a grieving man whose life spirals out of control after surviving a werewolf attack,” Miller describes. “As the transformation overtakes him, he’s pursued by a relentless monster hunter while struggling to confront his trauma, a new relationship that could save him, and a reality that dissolves into hallucinations, and brutal violence. It’s an emotional character piece wrapped inside an unapologetically visceral horror film, written to be produced independently on a modest budget without sacrificing its cinematic ambition.”
Fierman first won horror fans’ notice in the first V/H/S, and starred in its spinoff feature SIREN. More recently, she has appeared in BYSTANDERS, NEW FEARS EVE, WOLF HOLLOW, episodes of CREEPSHOW and others, and made her feature directorial debut with THE EVENTS SURROUNDING A PEEPING TOM, in which she also co-stars.
