It’s part of an updated release of the band’s debut.
Seattle-based deathrock/Goth group Ghosts in the Graveyard gave us the first look at the video for “Better in Black,” off their MONSTERS FOR THE MASSES: RESURRECTED album, which drops October 23 from Re:Mission Entertainment. The single is also available for listening today on all music platforms. MONSTERS FOR THE MASSES: RESURRECTED is a reimagined and remastered version of the band’s 2016 album, described as “a bold reinvention, revisiting the original recordings and transforming them with a decade’s worth of growth, experience, and sonic refinement.”
According to the group’s Byron C. Miller, who directed the video, “Back in 2015, when we recorded the album, we were in a bit of a rush to share it with the world and honestly, we didn’t have the resources to give it the mix it deserved. At the time, we were just excited to get it out there. Now, after everything we’ve learned, and with Paul [Morgan, programmer and guitarist] having grown into an incredibly skilled music producer, it felt like the right time to revisit our debut for its 10-year anniversary. This album means the world to me.
“After eight years as co-frontman in God Module, which was always Jasyn Bangert’s vision,” he continues, “Ghosts in the Graveyard was the first project I built from the ground up. These songs, in a strange way, feel like a reflection of the entire first half of my life. Paul’s new mixes, combined with fresh mastering from Chris Longo, bring out everything I’ve always loved about these tracks. It’s a beautiful nightmare world, and I can’t wait to share it all over again.”
