We’ve got the first look at a true face-off from the upcoming slasher homage.
P.J. Starks, who’s producing THE BOY FROM BELOW with Roman Jossart and Thomas Wolf, gave us the first look at some test footage (watch it below) of a bloody effects highlight created by artist Cody Ruch for the movie. “The things Cody has planned for this film are going to blow people away!” writer/director Tory Jones tells RUE MORGUE. “We are really adding a nasty mean streak and tenacity to our hulking killer in his scarecrow mask.”
Based on the title character from Jones’ 2017 film THE WICKED ONE, THE BOY FROM BELOW (which we first told you about here) stars Spencer Madison, Kamarra Cole, Cameryn Zupon, Douglas Vermeeren, Dee Wallace, Felissa Rose, Leah Voysey, Chaney Morrow and Richie Ramone; the latest addition to the cast is Tommy Lee Wallace, director of HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, FRIGHT NIGHT PART 2 and the original IT two-part TV movie. The synopsis: “Local video store employee and horror nerd Quinn Curtis’ Halloween holiday is thrust into chaos when her friends reunite her with an old flame. The night only worsens when a killer in a scarecrow mask, obsessed with horror movies himself, targets Quinn and her friends for his own twisted game of trick or treat. As the body count rises, his motivations and ties to the town’s past become clear.”
