There’s a whole lot of madness and mayhem coming this fall/winter.
Indie writer/director Chad Ferrin gave us the first look at the red-band trailer for his movie PIG KILLER (pictured), and one that would definitely earn a red band for SCALPER, the sequel to his previous NIGHT CALLER. He also sent a trio of festival posters for SCALPER. PIG KILLER, which we last reported on here, is based on the true story of Vancouver serial murderer/pig farmer Robert “Willy” Pickton, played by Jake Busey; Lew Temple (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS), producers Kate Patel, Robert “Corpsy” Rhine, Jeff Olan and Robert Miano, Bai Ling, Silvia Spross, James Russo, Cassandra Gava, Ginger Lynn, Cyril O’Reilly, Michael Paré, Elina Madison and Gerard McMahon (a.k.a. G Tom Mac of THE LOST BOYS’ “Cry Little Sister”) also star. The movie has a special screening at Las Vegas’ Erotic Heritage Museum on Saturday, October 21 at 4 p.m., with Lynn, Patel, Madison and Rhine in attendance and McMahon performing, and will be shown at Hollywood Horrorfest on November 4 with cast including Busey and Ling on hand. Breaking Glass Pictures will then release PIG KILLER to theaters November 17 and digital platforms November 21.
SCALPER, which we first told you about here, stars Susan Priver, Ling, Kelli Maroney, Miano, Spross and Rhine from NIGHT CALLER, along with Busey, Patel, Madison, Jon Budinoff, Kurt Bonzell, Jennifer Drake, O’Reilly, Timothy Muskatell and Jerry Irons. The synopsis: “Everyone around psychic Clementine Carter [Priver] is being brutally murdered by a masked killer dubbed ‘The Scalper.’ Is it dead psycho Andrew Lubitz back from the grave, a copycat killer or a horror beyond imagination? Clementine must use her second sight to stay one step ahead of the maniac’s blade to solve the mystery.” It screens tonight and on Monday, September 25 at the UK’s Paracinema Cult Film Festival; tomorrow, September 23 at the Arizona Underground Film Festival; the Atlanta Horror Festival and Horror at the Ohio in October; and Brazil’s Cinefantasy international Fantastic Film Festival in December.
