Exclusive photos: New England fright film “FOG CITY” rolls in this fall, Steelbook in the works

It’s a mix of eerie atmosphere and grisly mayhem.

Writer/director Steve Wolsh (KILL HER GOATS) sent over the exclusive pics seen here from his new movie FOG CITY. It stars Victoria Konefal, Connor Weil, Noah Gray-Cabey, Reese Mishler, Luke Benward and Juliette Goglia, with makeup effects by Ben Bornstein (NANNY, RESURRECTION, AMERICAN HORROR STORY); the synopsis: “A group of friends seal themselves inside a secluded Cape Cod vacation home after a mysterious orange fog leaks from an old nearby factory. Once trapped, they quickly learn there is no escape.”

“I’m dedicated to all practical effects and no CGI,” Wolsh tells us. “We really pushed the limits of that with this film, as all the fog is in camera and practical. And we’re not talking about a little fog; we’re talking about orange fog four stories tall overtaking houses, marshes, bridges and trees.”

He’s also a true believer in physical media, and is launching a Kickstarter campaign tomorrow to create a limited-edition Steelbook that will be laser-etched with individual numbers 1 to 4,000. It will contain a 4K UHD, Blu-ray and digital copy presenting the unrated film in 2.39:1 widescreen, plus an exclusive fully embossed magnet and collectible mini-poster. You can see the initial campaign page here and sign up to be notified about the full launch, and you can find out more about FOG CITY (which will be released in other media and platforms later this fall) at its official website; check out the teaser trailer below the photos.
