The specialist in horror, exploitation and sleaze Blu-rays has plenty more on the way in 2023.
To kick off its 10-year anniversary, Vinegar Syndrome just launched a Subscriber Week that runs through Saturday, January 7 at 11:59 p.m. EST. This is the only opportunity in 2023 that fans will have to become subscribers, receiving all of the coming year’s VS-branded discs at 50% off SRP, plus exclusive discounts on all the distributor’s sub-labels and partner labels. New titles will be added to the Vinegar Syndrome website each day this week at 12:01 p.m. EST (starting with special editions of Stuart Gordon’s FROM BEYOND—on 4K UHD—the regional creature feature FROSTBITER: WRATH OF THE WENDIGO, the Mexican shocker INFERNAL RAPIST, the three-film MADE IN HONG KONG: VOLUME 1 collection and a 4K UHD of the Chuck Norris vehicle SIDEKICKS today), with ten select items discounted to $10 every day at the same time.
These new releases, and the many more the company has in store for 2023 (including a major 10-film boxed set, and the addition of three new sub-labels), will continue VS’s tradition of unearthing and restoring genre fare from all over the world and throughout film history, with substantial special features and distinctive packaging. The Subscriber Week titles alone will include movies from the U.S., Asia, Mexico and Italy, spanning from the 1940s to the early 2000s. One of the lines they’ll be introducing this year will be focused on Asian cinema, with a particular emphasis on Hong Kong features.
