The fine folks at Terror Vision Records & Video have done it again with an incredible release of the RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART II soundtrack on limited edition vinyl and cassette. This marks the very first time J. Peter Robinson’s score to the 1988 brain-eating zombie sequel has been released in any format. Terror Vision worked closely with Robinson who remastered and supervised this project himself.

The massive Collector’s Edition Bundle is limited to 50 copies and includes:

  • Limited edition colored vinyl with lenticular cover (limited to 1000 units)
  • RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART II postcard, sticker, temporary tattoos
  • One two-sided 12×18 poster
  • One 18×24 silkscreen poster by Chloe Manon
  • Two different T-shirts (Japanese design by Earl Kess, Retro Design by Chloe Manon)
  • The RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD PART II cassette tape
  • AND two fast food-style retro glasses by Black Lagoon Room

The T-Shirt Bundle, which is also limited to 50, comes with:

  • LP with lenticular cover (Limited to 1000 units)
  • Your choice of T-Shirt: Japanese Design by Earl Kess or Retro Design by Chloe Manon
  • Temporary Tattoo Sheet
  • Comes with the two-sided poster, two-sided postcard, and sticker from the Deluxe LP
  • Audio pulled from original tapes and remastered by composer, J. Peterson Robinson
  • Liner notes by J. Peter Robinson
  • Gatefold Packaging w/ full-color inner sleeve

The coolest promotion for this release is the retro interactive video ad Terror Vision made as an homage to ‘80s hotline commercials. You can call the hotline if you’ve come in contact with the deadly chemical Trioxin – and you might just save mankind. Most importantly, you could win a test pressing of the soundtrack! All you need to do is call the TRIOXIN HOTLINE at (704) 666-2038 and let them know where you found the drum of the deadly corpse-reviving chemical and how many have been exposed.

Terror Vision has also released a commercial for the two “fast-food” glasses that come in the Collector’s Edition Bundle. These ghoulish glasses have illustrations of Tarman and James Karen, with accompanying catchphrases from the film, and are reminiscent of the old-school Star Wars glasses from the ‘70s and ’80s. This release is just oozing (trioxin maybe?) with nostalgic charm, so be sure to get on these bundles before they sell out!

Terror Vision’s release of the RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD II soundtrack and limited edition bundles are available for pre-order now with a ship date of September. More details at www.terror-vision.com.

Columnist and host of The Rewind Zone. My love for horror and VHS was established while growing up in the '80s, my favourite decade, because it spawned a new generation of incredible practical effects, amazing VHS cover art and most importantly, provides nostalgia. Watching '80s horror movies comforts me in a sentimental way as if being back in those movie rental days.
