As if we weren’t looking forward to this one already, they’re stacking the cast to make it a must-see.

Variety reports that genre faves Sarah Michelle Gellar (BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER) and Elijah Wood (MANIAC, COME TO DADDY), along with the legendary David Cronenberg, are co-starring in Searchlight Pictures’ READY OR NOT: HERE I COME. The sequel to the modern cult fave READY OR NOT, which begins shooting today in Toronto, sees original lead Samara Weaving returning as Grace, also joined by Kathryn Newton (FREAKY), Shawn Hatosy (THE FACULTY), Nestor Carbonell and Kevin Durand (ABIGAIL, CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD). Also back are directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, writers Guy Busick and R. Christopher Murphy, producers Tripp Vinson, James Vanderbilt, Bradley J. Fischer and William Sherak, production designer Andrew Stearn, director of photography Brett Jutkiewicz, costume designer Avery Plewes and makeup head of department Colin Penman.

“We’re thrilled to be returning to the world of READY OR NOT with Samara, Brett, Avery and Andrew and so excited to work with this immensely talented cast and the incredible artists across every department joining the READY OR NOT family,” say Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett. Adds Searchlight Pictures president Matthew Greenfield, “We’re beyond excited to make another film with the phenomenal Radio Silence. With READY OR NOT: HERE I COME, we get to go on another ride with the amazing Samara Weaving, mix in awesome new voices and bring audiences a fresh take that’s every bit as twisted and fun as the first one. This is for those who’ve been waiting, and those who didn’t see it coming.”
