May 2022 Short Horror Releases on Alter

If you’re into short horror, the folks at ALTER have you covered.  Rue Morgue wants to make sure you’re up-to-date on all of the cool stuff they have coming up, so each month we’ll be highlighting their upcoming releases.  Take a look at what they have planned for May 2022:

Pursuit of a Jigsaw (May 3)

In a retroist suburban-America, a corporate laborer begins to lose his sense of self after entering an undesired marriage. His body begins to morph and distort, taking on the physical characteristics of his wife and coworkers.

Mum’s Sweater (May 5)
Director: Anand K Karma, Yi Chen Hsiao, Mauriziana Gualdrini, Ugo Offner, James Mann
After her mother’s death, Kim finds solace in wearing her mother’s old sweater. However, the sweater begins to itch and even hurt her, but she still can’t bring herself to take it off.

True North (May 10)
Director: Brian Mitchell, Ian Start
A drifter receives a mysterious voicemail from his soon-to-be ex-wife, who has gone missing. As he searches for her, he uncovers the sinister nature of her disappearance.

Love Bites – Zero Stress (May 12)
Director: Tel Benjamin
During a 1987 highschool prom, two star crossed lovers must overcome social hierarchy and their demonic faculty of teachers in order to reunite and destroy evil at the speed of love.

The Thing That Ate the Birds (May 17)

On the North Yorkshire Moors, Abel, Head Gamekeeper, discovers the thing that is eating his grouse.

Brueche (May 19)
