The movie has its world premiere set for next month.

ITCH!, the first horror film from writer/director Bari Kang, who has previously made crime thrillers such as LUCKY and THE SCRAPPER, has its premiere screening Saturday, December 7 at 11:45 p.m. at New York City’s Dances With Films festival. Kang also stars in this brutal new take on the zombie genre, along with Olivia Kang, Monica De Oliveira [who also produced with Bari Kang], Ximena Uribe, Maria Ventura Lucas, Patrick Michael Valley, Douglas Stirling and Steven Alonte.

The synopsis: “A horrific outbreak known as ‘The Itch’ spreads like wildfire, turning its victims into frenzied, self-destructive shells of their former selves. Jay, a widower grappling with grief and desperation, seeks refuge in a seemingly safe department store alongside his estranged young daughter. However, the sanctuary they believed would protect them becomes a nightmarish trap, revealing that the true danger actually lurks among them. With the infection closing in and paranoia escalating within their group, Jay and his daughter are forced into a harrowing battle–not just against the outside world, but against the darkness in human hearts when faced with survival. With every decision a life-or-death choice, they must confront their fractured bond and make brutal choices to stay alive, leading to an unimaginable climax that questions what it truly means to protect those we love.”
