EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Toronto’s Revue Cinema Has a Heart For Horror with “MY BLOODY VALENTINE”

Murderous miner Harry Warden made a triumphant return to the big screen this Valentine’s Day when Toronto’s Revue Cinema hosted a special 4K presentation of the classic Canadian slasher MY BLOODY VALENTINE. Culled from the original camera negative, this uncut scan included recovered gore scenes axed from the 1981 release.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE’s director, George Mihalka, introduced the film and took part in a Q&A session with the crew conducted by Revue Cinema’s in-house trailer editor, Nathan Boone. As a bonus, several cast members showed up to sign items and take photos with fans.

Naturally, RUE MORGUE was there, with Rondo Award-winning writer James Burrell and founding art director Ghoulish Gary Pullin (who created the stunning cover for Armando Muñoz‘s new MY BLOODY VALENTINE novelization) on hand for the frightening festivities.
