The satirically humorous take on Halloween horror is seeking your backing.

An Indiegogo page has been launched for HALF-O-WEEN, which we first told you about here. The bloody/funny short, which is intended to lead to a feature-film expansion, will be directed by Stephen Wolfe (DOLL FACTORY) from a script by Mike McPherson (10/31 PART 2), and star Lestonja Diaz, Tim Robinson, Sara Gaston, Joe Grisaffi, Joshua Kennedy, Josh Spiegel, Matt Baca and Xavier Flores as serial killer Eddie Mangas (pictured in the exclusive photo above). Robinson is producing with P.J. Starks (NEW FEARS EVE), with special effects to be created by Ryan and Salina Ward of Little Shop of Gore FX (TERRIFIER 3).

The synopsis: “Camille White, horror enthusiast and lover of all things macabre, just broke up with her boyfriend, Jeremy. Correction: Jeremy unceremoniously dumped Cam after three years together. To pour salt in the wound, he chooses the night of Cadaver Carl’s Half-O-Ween Double Feature, a hallowed holiday in Cam’s book, to do it. What’s more, her nosy landlords, the haughty Winnie Thomas-Stratton and her horn-dog husband Vern, barge in halfway through their breakup. The reason? An infamous serial killer known as Eddie ‘The Maniac’ Mangas escaped from a transport bus en route to the asylum for the criminally insane. With a shelter-in-place order in effect, Winnie and Vern figured safety in numbers, so now Cam’s stuck with her fresh ex and obnoxious landlords while a maniac murderer runs loose. Needled by her unbidden guests, enraged at the sight of her ex, lost and lonely in a world that seems never to understand her, Cam might just prefer the company of a violent and deranged lunatic.”

“With summer coming to an end and the Halloween season right around the corner,” Wolfe tells us, “we’re thrilled to be launching the Indiegogo campaign for our film! We’ve assembled an incredible cast and crew to bring this twisted comedic slasher to life, and we can’t wait to share it with everyone. Dependent on the campaign, we’re looking to go into production later this year and there will tons of more updates as we progress forward, hopefully including a few surprises along the way!”

“Being on the ground level of this concept has been great,” Starks says. “I’m certain that when horror fans, especially body-count cinema junkies, see what Stephen and Tim have wrought, they’ll be slashing their way to back this hilariously fucked up and unique film.”
