“FOUND FOOTAGE 3D” will jump out of your disc player this fall (glasses included); info and art

Two enduring genre gimmicks are combined in FOUND FOOTAGE 3D, a Shudder presentation that’s coming to Blu-ray and DVD next month. Read on for the full details and cover art.

FOUND FOOTAGE 3D hits disc September 7, and comes with red-and-blue glasses (no need for a 3D TV). Written and directed by Steven DeGennaro, the movie stars Carter Roy, Alena von Stroheim, Chris O’Brien, Tom Saporito, Scott Allen Perry and Jessica Perrin. The synopsis: “When he’s hired to document the behind-the-scenes action of the ultra-low-budget horror movie SPECTRE OF DEATH (“the first 3D found-footage horror film”), an aspiring filmmaker packs up his camera and travels with the film’s crew to a creepy cabin in the woods. But, when the fictional evil presence from their film begins appearing in his behind-the-scenes footage, he has to figure out how to stop it before it finds its way into the real world.”

Special features on the Blu-ray are:

  • Audio commentary by director Steven DeGennaro
  • Audio commentary by producers Scott Weinberg, Randi Ludwig and Charles Mulford
  • Outtakes
  • Deleted scenes
  • Extended scenes
  • FOUND FOOTAGE 3D trailer

The DVD will include only outtakes and deleted scenes. Retail prices are $32.98 for a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack, $29.98 for the Blu-ray and $26.98 for the DVD.
