We all “BLOAT” down here: Trailer and poster for Screenlife horror film

There are elements of J-horror in this mix too.

Lionsgate releases BLOAT to select theaters and VOD/digital platforms March 7. Written and directed by Pablo Absento, making her feature debut after some well-received short films, it stars Ben McKenzie, Bojana Novakovic, Malcolm Fuller, Sawyer Jones and Kane Kosugi. The synopsis: “After a near-death drowning accident, a young boy’s family is horrified to discover he has become possessed by a legendary demon from the depths of the lake. As the family races against time to save the boy’s soul, the evil monster inside the child tears the family apart as it seeks to destroy everyone in its path.”
