U.S. dates, poster and trailer revealed for “HUMANIST VAMPIRE SEEKING CONSENTING SUICIDAL PERSON”

The romantic horror/comedy with plenty of bite is coming this summer.

Drafthouse Films is bringing HUMANIST VAMPIRE SEEKING CONSENTING SUICIDAL PERSON to theaters in New York and LA starting June 21, followed by a nationwide rollout. The film has played numerous festivals over the past year, winning several awards and significant praise (including ours). Directed by Ariane Louis-Seize from a script she wrote with Christine Doyon, it stars Sara Montpetit, Félix-Antoine Bénard, Steve Laplante, Sophie Cadieux, Noémie O’Farrell, Marie Brassard, Lilas-Rose Cantin, Gabriel-Antoine Roy and Madeleine Péloquin. The synopsis: “Sasha [Montpetit] is a young vampire with a serious problem: she’s too sensitive to kill! When her exasperated parents cut off her blood supply, Sasha’s life is in jeopardy. Luckily, she meets Paul [Bénard], a lonely teenager with suicidal tendencies who is willing to give his life to save hers. But their friendly agreement soon becomes a nocturnal quest to fulfill Paul’s last wishes before day breaks.”
