Mena Suvari and Danielle Harris have a “DARK OBSESSION”; trailer and release news

One of the very first pandemic productions, the psychothriller is now headed for wide exposure.

DARK OBSESSION, directed by George Henry Horton, will be released in the UK next Monday, August 28 on Sky, followed by U.S. distribution later this fall. It was scripted by Horton and star Blaine Morris, and the cast also includes Mena Suvari, Adriana Barraza (BLUE BEETLE) and genre fave Danielle Harris. The synopsis: “Anne [Morris], an aspiring painter and housewife, struggles with inner demons and a mysterious presence lurking in the forest surrounding her home after being forced into a life of solitude when her husband leaves unexpectedly. The only person she can speak to is her closest confidant Maya [Suvari], who has a dark secret of her own. Do the answers perhaps lie with her mother [Barraza], who desperately tries to connect with her, or her fearful neighbor, Charlotte [Harris]?”

“When we first started filming, we were told by SAG we were the first pandemic film shooting in the whole of the Southern United States,” Horton says. “That we pulled it off is nothing short of a testament to the dedication and talent of our wonderful cast and crew. I’m thrilled that Alarm Pictures have partnered with us for our UK and U.S. releases and I hope for the film to resonate with audiences worldwide.”
