FatdadsToys Makes It Rain With “Mr. Cloudman”

Jake Demello (aka Jamz) recently announced that his passion project, “Mr. Cloudman” is finally available for preorder! Twenty-two years in the making, Demello dreamt of bringing this figure to life since the day Stanley Kubrick passed in 1999.  This art toy pays heavy homage to one of Kubrik’s most films, A Clockwork Orange (1971)in a very unique way. The toy itself is an ominous black cloud that rains milk. Mr. Cloudman aka (“Mr. Singing in the Rain”) also incorporates a cane, Bowler hat and eyeliner accessories.

The toy’s backstory as explained by Demello is an intriguing one: “He’s busking to save up money to one day open his own milk bar… the Korova!” Fans of the film may recall that the Korova Milkbar as the place where Alex and the Droogs drink at the film’s beginning. The initial release of Mr. Cloudman stands 4 inches tall and will be available in “Regular” and “OG Bootleg” versions in homage to other artists like Sucklord. These releases have an asking price of $50 USD. Look for planned keychains, stickers, and even a 12 inch Mr.Cloudman special edition ($90 USD) as well. Releases are made under the “Fatdadstoys” label, which Demello runs with sculptor and company partner Whitney.
