Isaac Ezban’s “PARALLEL” lands U.S. distribution

The filmmaker behind THE INCIDENT and THE SIMILARS will see his first English-language film hit the States before year’s end.

Vertical Entertainment has announced that it has grabbed U.S. rights to PARALLEL, which Isaac Ezban directed from a script by Scott Blaszak, and will release it to select theaters and VOD December 11. Martin Wallström, Georgia King, Aml Ameen, Mark O’Brien, Alyssa Diaz and Kathleen Quinlan star, with cinematography by Karim Hussain (POSSESSOR, RANDOM ACTS OF VIOLENCE). According to the official synopsis, the movie “focuses on four friends who stumble upon a mirror that serves as a portal to a ‘multiverse.’ They soon discover that importing knowledge from the other side in order to better their lives brings increasingly dangerous consequences.”

“PARALLEL is a film that blends genres–science fiction, horror and even comedy–in a uniquely satisfying way,” says Vertical co-president Rich Goldberg. “The ensemble cast features some fresh new faces on the brink, and we’re happy that the film will be opening this December.”
