Bratz has turned its attention to ’90s witchcraft, releasing a new collector doll line based on The Craft, Andrew Fleming‘s enduring 1996 teen witch horror classic. The dolls, produced by Bratz parent company MGA Entertainment, went on sale October 15 at 8 a.m. PT exclusively through Bratz.com.
A standalone Nancy Downs doll, modelled on Fairuza Balk‘s black-magic-drunk performance, retails for $70 and comes with two looks pulled from the film: a plaid-skirt school uniform redone with a black faux-leather jacket, and an all-black ensemble with a floor-length coat, spiked choker, and red-lensed sunglasses. Her witchy accessories include a spellbook, a dagger, a candle, and a jarred snake. A separate three-pack bundling Sarah, Rochelle, and Bonnie, the rest of the St. Benedict’s Academy coven, played in the film by Robin Tunney, Rachel True, and Neve Campbell, runs $120 and dresses the trio in their school uniforms, with props including a caged bird and a jarred butterfly that let fans restage the film’s bonfire and beach ritual scenes. Buying both sets together costs $190 before tax and shipping.
Both releases use VHS-style packaging designed to evoke the look of a rented ’90s horror tape, and orders placed directly through Bratz.com include a bonus folded poster. Demand appears to have moved fast: as of this writing, the standalone Nancy doll is already showing as sold out on the official site, with a “notify me” waitlist in its place, though stock status can change quickly on a launch like this.
Fans can order the Nancy collector doll and the Sarah, Rochelle, and Bonnie three-pack directly through Bratz.com.
