Many of us who grew up to be horror fans managed to evade those who would shield our underage eyes from the movies we loved, but what’s a horror-loving parent to do? Two of our writers enter the ring to battle it out…
Should children be exposed to horror films?
In the first corner, PATTI PAULEY argues Yes, stating that “Horror is not just meant to terrorize, but can serve as a narrative tool to teach valuable lessons on life, loss, and morality.”
In the opposite corner, SEAN PLUMMER counters with No, arguing that “At some point or another, our kids need to learn to articulate what sort of content they can – and want to – handle.”
Read both arguments in their entirety in RUE MORGUE (#188), now available!
