Pacific Northwest Pictures Bringing “Violation” To Canadian Audiences This Month

Tuesday, March 2, 2021 | News

Pacific Northwest Pictures is bringing Madeleine Sims-Fewer & Dusty Mancinelli‘s feminist revenge fable, VIOLATION wide to Canadian audiences later this month!

Sims-Fewer stars as Miriam, a woman who returns to her hometown to seek solace in the comfort of her younger sister and brother-in-law amidst her imploding marriage. But when a tiny slip in judgment leads to a catastrophic betrayal, Miriam is left shocked, reeling and furious. Believing her sister to be in danger, Miriam decides she must protect her at all costs, but the price of revenge is high and she is not prepared for the toll it takes as she begins to emotionally and psychologically unravel…

Also starring Anna Maguire, Jesse LaVercombe, and Obi Abili, VIOLATION world-premiered premiered at TIFF 2020 before playing Sundance, where we hailed it as a film of “disquieting sadness that will linger with you for a while after the movie is over.”

Check out the edgy regional trailer from Pacific Northwest Pictures below. VIOLATION will be playing at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and releasing digitally on March 19th.
