“THE NIGHT IS YOUNG” and dangerous in vampire horror film coming next month; trailer & poster

It’s the latest from the creator of NAILBITER and THEY WAIT IN THE DARK.

Terror Films Releasing has announced that it will release THE NIGHT IS YOUNG April 18 on multiple North American platforms including Tubi TV, Chilling, Scare Network TV, Kings of Horror, Watch Movies Now and others. Directed by Patrick Rea from a script he wrote with Sarah McGuire, the movie (which we first told you about here) stars McGuire, Valeri Bates, Jake Jackson, Kristin Rea, Kurt Hanover and Dan Daly. The synopsis: “The film follows Nora [McGuire], a vlogger looking for love, who meets Emilia [Bates], a vampire being hunted. Nora and Emilia must race the clock together to escape the vampire hunters before the sun rises.”

“As a director,” Rea says, “I’ve always tried to do something different with each feature I’ve made. I have always been a fan of the found-footage genre since seeing the film THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT in the summer of ’99. However, I wanted to make something that took the subgenre in a fresh direction, yet still maintaining the spirit of what audiences have come to expect.

“In the summer of 2023, Jake Jackson, Sarah McGuire and I decided to make this project a reality and shot the film over the course of 12 days all over Kansas City. We were lucky to have collaborated with a great group of actors and crew to make what we consider to be a fun found-footage-style horror film that combines humor, scares and characters who are likable. We hope you enjoy the movie and that it leaves you wanting to see these characters again.”
