Exclusive photos, plus details: “THE NIGHT IS YOUNG” for vampires in “NAILBITER” director’s latest

The found-footage variation on the bloodsucker genre has just completed shooting.

Independent filmmaker Patrick Rea, whose movies include NAILBITER, I AM LISA and last year’s THEY WAIT IN THE DARK, sent along the exclusive pics above and below with word that his new feature THE NIGHT IS YOUNG has wrapped. It was scripted by Rea and Sarah McGuire, who also stars alongside Jake Jackson, Valeri Bates, Kristin Rea, Kurt Hanover and Dan Daly. The synopsis: “The film tells the story of Nora [McGuire], an influencer, who along with her brother Jake [Jackson] are filming her failed dates for a video blog. Through a turn of events, she ends up on a date with Emilia [Bates], a female vampire. Soon they find themselves in the crosshairs of a group of murderous vampire hunters [Rea, Hanover and Daly].”

“I’ve always wanted to do a film in the found-footage style,” Rea says, “and I think our team has created a fun film that we hope is a worthy addition to the horror genre.” We’ll keep you posted on THE NIGHT IS YOUNG’s progress!
