We first told you here about the multistory fright film SCARE PACKAGE, and now it’s been picked up by the scary streaming service, with a premiere date set.
Shudder has announced that SCARE PACKAGE will debut for the U.S. Canada and the UK on June 18. Created by Aaron B. Koontz (CAMERA OBSCURA) and Cameron Burns, it features the directorial debuts of actors Noah Segan (THE MIND’S EYE, MOHAWK) and Baron Vaughn, plus segments directed by Koontz, Emily Hagins (CHILLING VISIONS: 5 SENSES OF FEAR), Anthony Cousins, Chris McInroy and Courtney and Hillary Andujar (production designers on BODY AT BRIGHTON ROCK, THE WIND and GIRL ON THE THIRD FLOOR). Segan and Vaughn are also among the cast, along with Chase Williamson (BEYOND THE GATES, JOHN DIES AT THE END), Jocelyn DeBoer (GREENER GRASS), Jeremy King, wrestling legend Dustin Rhodes, Toni Trucks and Hawn Tran. The premise: “Chad, the owner of Rad Chad’s Horror Emporium, recounts a series of bone-chilling, blood-splattered tales to illustrate the rules of the horror genre to his newest employee.”
“People say this often, but we mean it: This truly is a movie made by horror fans, for horror fans,” Koontz says. “And we have the tears, sweat and 40-plus gallons of blood to prove it. So, to be able to partner this love letter with Shudder was a dream come true, and hopefully can be a wild and hilarious distraction in our newly confined times.”
