Actors who’ve got experience with psycho horror are part of this new murderama starring Bella Thorne.

Screen Media has announced that SAINT CLARE, which we first reported on here, has added to its cast Ryan Phillippe (I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER), Rebecca De Mornay (THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE), Frank Whaley (VACANCY), Bart Johnson and Dylan Flashner. Thorne, from the BABYSITTER movies and SCREAM: THE SERIES, takes the title role of Clare Bleecker, “a quiet Catholic college student with a divine vocation for killing,” according to the PR. “Phillippe will play the role of Timmons, a police officer investigating the latest murder in the small town, with Clare as his prime suspect. Frank Whaley will be playing Mailman Bob, a ghost from Clare’s past, with Bart Johnson dual starring as twin brothers Joe and Randall, and Dylan Flashner playing Wade.”

Mitzi Peirone (BRAID) is directing the film from a script she wrote with Guinevere Turner (AMERICAN PSYCHO), based on the novel CLARE AT 16 by Don Roff. The film is shooting in Kentucky, with North American release scheduled for 2023.
