Lucio Fulci’s “ZOMBIE” coming to Blu-ray in 4K with new extras and three lenticular covers!

Blue Underground is giving Lucio Fulci’s classic gorefest ZOMBIE the 4K treatment on Blu-ray later this year, and going all out with the packaging. Read on for the complete details and all the art.

The limited-edition ZOMBIE three-disc set streets November 27, sporting a new 4K restoration from the original uncensored camera negative, presented in 1080p and 2.40:1 widescreen with DTS-HD 7.1, DTS-HD 1.0 and Dolby Digital 1.0 soundtracks. It’ll be available with three different lenticular slipcovers (only 5,000 of each). The saga of a small group of people trying to survive an undead outbreak on a tropical island, starring Tisa Farrow, Ian McCulloch, Richard Johnson, Al Cliver and Olga Kartalos, will be accompanied by a massive amount of bonus features:

Retail price is $49.95.  In addition, Blue Underground has announced that its 4K three-disc release of William Lustig’s MANIAC, which we told you about here, has been reslotted for December 11, since the second disc will now be a Blu-ray instead of a DVD, with most of the extras being moved to the second disc to allow the feature to be presented at a much higher bit rate. Retail price will remain at $39.95.
