Full details and art: Blue Underground’s three-disc “MANIAC” 4K Blu-ray release

William Lustig’s notorious shocker MANIAC is coming back to disc in a new 4K restoration with fresh bonus features (including—full disclosure—one by yours truly). Keep reading for the complete specs and cover art.

Blue Underground releases the three-disc Limited Collector’s Edition of MANIAC, with Joe Spinell in the psychopathic title role, co-starring Caroline Munro and featuring Tom Savini’s graphic makeup effects, on November 13. The centerpiece is the brand new 4K transfer of the uncut, unrated movie from the recently discovered 16mm original camera negative, presented in 1.85:1 widescreen. Audio tracks include DTS-HD 7.1, DTS-HD 2.0 and Dolby Digital 2.0; the first pressing will come with a 3D lenticular slipcover (seen below). The bonus features are:
