Two longtime fixtures of the horror genre co-star in the new film from the writer/director of GIRL ON THE THIRD FLOOR.
RLJE Films and Shudder have announced a July 20 Blu-ray and DVD release date for JAKOB’S WIFE, directed by Travis Stevens from a script he wrote with Mark Steensland and Kathy Charles. Barbara Crampton (RE-ANIMATOR, WE ARE STILL HERE), Larry Fessenden (DEPRAVED, WENDIGO), Nyisha Bell, Mark Kelly, Sarah Lind (WOLFCOP), Robert Rusler (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2), Bonnie Aarons (THE NUN, THE CONJURING 2) and former WWE wrestler Phil Brooks, a.k.a. CM Punk, star; the synopsis: “Anne [Crampton] is married to a small-town minister [Fessenden] and feels like her life and marriage have been shrinking over the past 30 years. After a chance encounter with “The Master” [Aarons], she discovers a new sense of power and an appetite to live bigger and bolder than before. As Anne is increasingly torn between her enticing new existence and her life before, the body count grows and Jakob realizes he will have to fight for the wife he took for granted.” The discs will include “The Making of JAKOB’S WIFE” featurette and deleted scenes; retail prices are $28.96 for the Blu-ray and $27.97 for the DVD.
