Following its HALLOWEEN: THE COMPLETE COLLECTION from a few years back, Shout! Factory has worked things out with Paramount Pictures and New Line Cinema to release the complete Voorhees saga on hi-def disc.
The FRIDAY THE 13TH COLLECTION (DELUXE EDITION) has been announced for an October 13 debut date under the Scream Factory banner. The 16 Blu-ray set includes all 12 of the movies, with new 4K transfers of the first four and a new 3D version of PART III, each in its own case with the original theatrical poster art, packaged in a rigid slipcover with a 40-page essay booklet containing archival stills. The set is limited to 13,000 pieces and is packed with new and vintage bonus features (full disclosure: this writer contributed a couple of them); currently confirmed, with more to be announced at a later date, are:
