A classic of Hammer horror is coming to hi-def disc in a new edition fully stocked with bonus features; read on for the info and the cover art.
Shout! Factory will release KISS OF THE VAMPIRE on a Scream Factory Collector’s Edition Blu-ray July 14. Directed by Don Sharp from a script by John Elder, the film stars Clifford Evans, Noel Willman, Edward De Souza, Jennifer Daniel and Barry Warren and is about a newlywed couple who become stranded in a Bavarian forest, where they are preyed upon by a vampire family. The disc features a new 2K scan of the interpositive in two aspect ratios (1.85:1 and 1.66:1), presented in 1080p high definition with DTS-HD Master Audio. Special features are:
- New audio commentary by author/film historian Steve Haberman and filmmaker/film historian Constantine Nasr on the 1.66:1 version
- New “The Men Who Made Hammer: Composer James Bernard”
