Jason Voorhees fans may have found a new favorite band in post-emo outfit Misery!. Not only does the band hail from the same state as our favorite masked machete-wielder, but the band also chose a soon-to-be-familiar face to star in their new video. The Friday the 13th connection is solidified by Danielle Kotch, who is set to star in the new A24 series Crystal Lake.

At this point in her career, Kotch is a horror veteran, having made an instant mark on the genre way back in 2012, when Ethan Hawke watched her scary home movie in Sinister. Remember the girl who (spoiler alert) runs her family over with a lawn mower? That was Danielle Kotch! Of course, her bona fides were further cemented with her starring role in 2024 with the throwback slasher gem Director’s Cut.

But even those unfamiliar with her earlier work are sure to remember Kotch’s name with her starring role in Peacock‘s upcoming Crystal Lake. She’ll star as Claudette. Right now, plot details are still pretty heavily guarded. Will Claudette survive? Is she the final girl? Or will she join her peers in gruesome death, falling prey to New Jersey’s favorite son? We’ll have to wait and see.

In the meantime, Kotch reprises her Director’s Cut role in the music video for “CASEY,” a rippin’ tune from that movie’s soundtrack. In the clip, Kotch stars again as Val, who supports and then mourns the title character while the band tears it up in some sort of hangar or warehouse. Neat! Look for our exclusive interview with Danielle Kotch coming soon.

RUE MORGUE is excited to be the first to share the new video, right here:
