A classic from Italy’s maestro of the macabre is going analog.
RUE MORGUE got the first word with images from Vice Press Home Video that it will release Dario Argento’s giallo favorite TENEBRAE on VHS this Thursday, October 16. The physical media arm of collectibles company Vice Press, which previously issued a limited-edition TENEBRAE poster by Ben Turner, will offer TENEBRAE in two variations. There will be a slipcase edition featuring a screen-printed VHS tape with Turner’s original artwork, and a Collector’s Edition in a clamshell case featuring a double-sided cover, with Turner’s artwork on one side and the original VHS art on the other. Both editions will be available in both PAL and NTSC formats, meaning it can be played by collectors worldwide.
In addition, Vice Press will release its final remaining copies of Argento’s SUSPIRIA on VHS, also available in PAL and NTSC formats. TENEBRAE will be made available directly from Vice Press’ website starting on the 16th at 6 p.m. UK time/1 p.m. ET, with both versions priced at $40/£29.99.
