The winner of Best Scare at last year’s FrightFest in London is headed for wider exposure.
Genre sales/distribution outfit Raven Banner, which provided the first-look trailer seen below, is bringing THE MOOR to Berlin’s current European Film Market; Bulldog Film Distribution has already picked the movie up for the UK and Ireland, with Indiecan Entertainment securing Canadian rights. The feature debut of director/producer Chris Cronin, the film was scripted by Paul Thomas, who was also part of the producing team along with Pawel Pracz. Sophia La Porta, David Edward-Robertson, Elizabeth Dormer-Phillips, the LORD OF THE RINGS films’ Bernard Hill, Vicki Hackett and Mark Peachey star; the synopsis: “THE MOOR follows a group of investigators who must venture deep into the moors to uncover the secret behind the death of a childhood friend. A haunted place where something dark and evil stirs at their presence.”
