New evidence regarding the notorious murders is part of the British fright feature.
We first told you here about VIRAL HAUNT, recently shot in the UK by TAW Entertainment. Now its creators have revealed to us that the haunting experienced by its vlogging protagonists is tied to the recently uncovered DNA evidence connecting longtime suspect Aaron Kosminski to the Jack the Ripper murders. “The film has woven these fresh discoveries into its chilling narrative,” they tell RUE MORGUE, “featuring scenes directly inspired by real, newly found details about one of history’s most infamous killers. And here’s the twist—until now, no one knew.”
VIRAL HAUNT was written, produced and directed by Natasha Tosini and Stephen Staley, and stars the duo as well as Kelly Rian Sanson, Danielle Scott, Jack Hoy, Elliott Eason, Jack Hyde and Will Wickham. The synopsis: “The film follows a group of viral streamers, the Haunt Hunters, as they explore the sinister Ripper Mansion. What starts as a routine ghost hunt quickly turns into a horrifying encounter with something they never expected—something tied to real-life historical horrors.
“Before this new information even made the news, VIRAL HAUNT had already integrated these details into key scenes, making it the first film to incorporate this chilling new perspective on the Ripper murders,” its creators continue. “Until now, no one knew VIRAL HAUNT held the key to one of true crime’s biggest mysteries. But with national media picking up the story of Aaron Kosminski’s confirmed connection to Jack the Ripper, this film’s terrifying twist has become more relevant than ever.”
