The meta-horror film completed principal photography last month in Pittsburgh.

The folks behind GRIND sent along the exclusive pics seen above and below from their movie, which is slated for release in 2025. It’s the latest feature directed by Mark Cantu (WOLF HOLLOW), from a script by Cantu, Brian Ceponis, Brian Bell and Lance Reedinger. Bell and Ceponis also co-star in the film along with genre faves Felissa Rose, Lynn Lowry and Ginger Lynn, along with Kay Leahy, Daniel John Kearney, August Kyss, Scott Ward, Chanda Rawlings, Kelsey Rhea, Molly Souza, Noah Welter, Kyle Shute, Gracie Mendez, Stanton Rutledge, Dennis Manning, Delilah Hefner and Heather Rizzo. The synopsis: “A group of college students host a midnight grindhouse film festival. They discover a cursed art-house horror called THE CREEPING CHAOS. In classic horror fashion, they mistakenly screen the film and unleash absolute mayhem.”

According to Kearney, also one of GRIND’s producers along with Mark and Liz Cantu, Rose, Ceponis and Bell, the movie will have plenty of laughter to balance its frights. “The shoot was an absolute blast, and it’s going to show in the film,” he tells us. “Mark gave us the freedom to really absorb and live our characters, and I was so thankful for that. He would call an audible and we would just go with it–the film is peppered with hilarious one-liners, emotional dialogue and shocking moments because of his supportive direction.”

Bell agrees: “The production of GRIND was full of long but fun days. Every day we had these possessed minions and monsters running around set while quirky characters were spitting out one-liners one minute and giving heartfelt performances the next. With blood and ooze everywhere, all I could think was, ‘I love my job!’ ” We’ll keep you posted on when GRIND will be hitting screens.
