Filmmaker Jennifer Mancini of Toronto-based Mythic Trips Entertainment got in touch with some first-look images and words on her new film that’s now in postproduction.

Written and produced by Mancini, FLEE THE LIGHT stars Annie Tuma, Ariana Marquis, Canadian singer/songwriter Jane Siberry (a.k.a. Issa, who also contributed to the soundtrack), Jamar Adams Thompson and Caroline Raynaud. The synopsis: “A psychology student attempts to cure her sister’s crippling psychosis only to expose them both to its origin: an ancient creature intent on claiming their souls.”

“This movie was in development for 10 years,” Mancini tells us. “It’s the first script I ever wrote, and the first film I ever produced. The story was inspired by a clandestine bar built on a mystical power vortex; I was a patron of such a place in real life, in Barcelona when I was a sales exec expat for a tech company in the early 2000s.” FLEE THE LIGHT is currently out to festivals; keep your eyes here for updates!
