It’s about to head out to rock and shock film festivals.
Chilean director Patricio Valladares (HIDDEN IN THE WOODS) has completed his latest feature INVOKING YELL, which he scripted with Barry Keating (KILLER MERMAID) and produced with Vittorio Farfan; Diego Moral Heimpell was executive producer. Maria Jesus Marcone, Macarena Carrere and Andrea Ozuljevich star in the movie, described as “a slow-burn found-footage thriller that takes its story from actual events in the ’90s involving the black metal scene and crimes from this decade.” The synopsis: “Set in 1997 in the south of Chile, a trio of metalhead 20something girls venture into the woods to shoot a demo tape for their black metal band, Invoking Yell, while also documenting the eerie and unsettling process of recording electronic voice phenomena in the woods for the final track.”
